My journey at Gallagher Bassett has been more than just professional growth; it’s been a personal transformation. I’ve found confidence I didn’t know I had, built meaningful connections despite working remotely, and discovered a level of support and camaraderie that continues to surprise me.

Growing Into My Confidence

When I first joined Gallagher, I was always a little bit timid as far as I felt my skillsets were. I was capable, but I hadn’t yet found the confidence to fully step into my role.

That changed quickly. From the beginning, I felt genuinely supported by my manager, my teammates, and colleagues across the organization. Their encouragement helped me shift my mindset and start showing up with more conviction.

Now, I’ve developed a level of confidence and assertiveness in my role that I didn’t have before. That growth has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey.

Finding Balance That Works for Me

Outside of work, my life is full. So having a workplace that respects and supports my need for balance has made all the difference.

Gallagher Bassett doesn’t just talk about well-being; it acts on it. I especially appreciated our Mental Health Day in June.

That kind of support helps me show up as my best self at work and at home.

Staying Connected, Even from Afar

Being a fully remote worker has its perks, but it also comes with challenges. Especially when it comes to staying connected. I’ve learned that connection doesn’t happen by accident anymore; you really do have to put in the effort to stay connected to your teammates.

I make it a point to reach out - whether it’s a quick chat message, an email, or even a text. I check in on teammates, welcome new faces, and participate actively in town halls and team meetings.

It’s those small moments of connection that build a sense of belonging, even across screens.

Discovering Unexpected Camaraderie

One of the most beautiful surprises of my journey was the camaraderie. I didn’t expect it, but I’ve come to deeply value it.

The level of support and encouragement - people reaching out without me asking if I needed any help or assistance with something, has been really, really great.

It’s not just about getting the job done - it’s about being part of a team that genuinely cares. That kind of culture is rare, and it’s something I treasure every day.

Looking Ahead

As I reflect on my success here at Gallagher Bassett, I see a story of growth, connection, and unexpected joy. I’ve become more confident, more connected, and more grounded in who I am and what I bring to the table.

This isn’t just a job - it’s a place where I’ve found my voice, my people, and a renewed sense of purpose. And for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
