Finding Support in Every Direction

One of the things I didn’t necessarily expect, but now I deeply value, is the incredible level of support across Gallagher Bassett. From my supervisor and vice president to senior leadership and colleagues at the branch, I’ve felt genuinely backed every step of the way.

People here are willing to pause their day to help you see things from a new perspective, talk through challenges, and share insights that help you better serve your clients.

It’s not just about doing the job; it’s about doing it together, and that’s something I truly appreciate.

Growing Through Communication

One of the biggest areas of growth for me has been learning how to communicate client feedback effectively and constructively. I’ve gotten better at taking what clients share and bringing it to our teams in a way that’s clear, solution-focused, and free of tone.

It’s helped me foster stronger collaboration and keep everyone aligned. That kind of communication doesn’t just help at work; it’s a skill that’s made a difference in my life overall.

Balancing Life and Work — With Leadership That Gets It

This past year has brought a lot of change, and through it all, I’ve seen how committed our leadership is to ensuring we feel cared for not just as employees, but as people. From my supervisor to senior leadership, the message is clear: your life matters, too.

We’re encouraged to take time when we need it, to unplug, and to prioritize what’s happening at home. That kind of empathy and flexibility makes a huge difference in how I show up at work.

Staying Connected, Staying Uplifted

Even as a remote team, we stay connected in ways that keep things light and meaningful. Microsoft Teams is our go-to space, whether it’s for quick work questions, check-ins, or sharing a good laugh.

My supervisor sends out “Friday Funnies” to keep the energy up, and we pass around inside jokes, GIFs, and messages that remind us we’re in this together. It’s those little moments that build a sense of community, even across screens.
