10 Years, Countless Opportunities: Growing with Gallagher

When I first joined Gallagher Bassett over 10 years ago, I thought I was simply starting a new job. I was a claims adjuster at heart, and that’s where I began as a Resolution Manager in Claims Operations. But what I didn’t expect was how this role would evolve into a career, and even more surprisingly, into a family.

About four years ago, I transitioned into Client Services, and that move opened a whole new chapter for me. Gallagher Bassett has felt like a choose-your-own-adventure book, full of opportunities to explore different departments, take on new challenges, and continue growing.

I’ve been encouraged every step of the way to stretch my skills and try something new. That support is something I truly value.

Balancing Work and Life

Working remotely for eight of those ten years has also taught me the importance of balance. My office is in my home, and any minute now, my child will walk in from the bus.

Gallagher Bassett has always respected that I’m not just an employee - I’m a parent, a community member, and a person.

Finding Unexpected Belonging

One thing I especially appreciate is how deeply Gallagher Bassett is committed to diversity and inclusion.

I’ve had the honor of mentoring through our IN2GB program, which brings summer interns from HBCUs into our organization. It’s a powerful initiative that reflects our values and has earned well-deserved recognition.

In a time when some companies are pulling back on DEI efforts, Gallagher Bassett is doubling down. That alignment between my personal values and my workplace is something I could not be happier to be part of.

Looking Ahead with Confidence

Looking back, I never imagined I’d be here a decade later, managing one of our flagship accounts and still finding new ways to grow. But here I am, and if I ever need a new challenge, I know I’ll find it right here at Gallagher Bassett.
