Rising Across Continents: My Gallagher Journey from London to Bermuda

When I first stepped into Gallagher, I didn’t yet know how far opportunity, mentorship, and community would carry me. I only knew I loved the pace, the people, and the possibility of building something meaningful.

Looking back now, on my journey from Aviation in London to Property in Bermuda, there’s just so many opportunities you see constantly with Gallagher. If you’ve got the passion to learn and the right managers, you know you can pretty much go anywhere with it.

From Aviation in London to Property in Bermuda

I started my Gallagher story with the Aviation team in London, and it was so much fun right from the start. After several years of growing in Aviation, life took me across the Atlantic. At the beginning of last year, I moved down here to Bermuda to do Property.

I must admit I probably suffered from a little bit of imposter syndrome … but honestly the support that I got from not just my manager, but the whole team around me was like nothing I had ever really seen.

All those fears went out the window because everyone was so welcoming and supportive.

My growth was shepherded by leaders who invested in me as a professional and as a person. For my career development and just who I am today as a person, I owe a lot of that to my managers here at Gallagher. There are so many great people that want to be mentors.

Seeing women at the table matters. It changes how juniors picture their future and how teams show up for each other. Our new CEO Specialty being a woman now is something to admire and shows that you can progress within the company.

During my time at Gallagher back home, I used to host a lot of events for women in the industry. The fact that Gallagher supports all those things is just like nothing I’ve really experienced.

Even when life moved me across oceans, I wanted to keep growing here.

I absolutely love working for Gallagher, long may it continue. When I said I was moving to Bermuda, I asked if there was any opportunity to continue, thankfully there was.

Because in the end, the story isn’t only about changing teams or continents. It’s about the people who make you feel you can try, learn, and lift others as you climb.
