I’ve been at Gallagher for almost eight years, and every day still feels different. When I look back at my journey, I see how The Gallagher Way shows up in how we treat each other, support one another and lead. It also shapes the kind of people we attract. What keeps me motivated is simple. I get to work with people who care about doing the right thing and who bring their best every day.

What First Drew Me In

The Gallagher tenet I connect with the most is the first one: We are a Sales and Marketing Company dedicated to providing excellence in Risk Management Services to our clients. I learned early on that we are always selling something. My first big task was building the talent acquisition strategy for what is now the GCoE in Vegas. It taught me to treat every moment as a chance to show value and build trust. Whether I’m talking to candidates or showing hiring teams what our function can do, that mindset stays with me.

“Our sales hat is always on. It is what makes Gallagher successful as a company and the reason why we are all here.”

A Day in My Role Today

Even though my team works remotely, we stay connected all day. I start my mornings checking in with everyone. I lead our Contingent Recruiting function, aiming to bring more hiring teams into our Temp and Temp to Hire services instead of external agencies. I spend much of my day looking for new internal clients and I still recruit for open roles. Filling positions keeps me learning, especially in a fast-changing industry.

The Best Part of My Workday

The best part of my day is the people. Gallagher is a large company, but it feels warm and close. Connections happen quickly, and every day with my team feels meaningful. I get to support their growth and see them take on new challenges. Across Talent Acquisition, we rely on each other and that support makes a real difference.

“We really are a warm and close company.”

Living Our Values Every Day

When I talk to candidates, I describe Gallagher’s culture as a class of high performing students who stay humble and want the group to win. That’s the environment we have. We attract people who share these values, making it easier to stay focused on the bigger picture. You can see The Gallagher Way in the respect people show each other and the drive to do the right thing.

How My Team Supports Me

My team supports me by being present. When people are engaged, I feel heard and comfortable. Gallagher gave me a voice. In past roles, I didn’t express myself as much. Here, people listen. Presence and connection are part of how we work.

What Might Surprise People

Recruiting is more than filling jobs. I’ve had the chance to be part of projects like the IDEA Committee, which focuses on driving more inclusive behaviors and equipping teams with the tools they need to build an inclusive hiring culture. I’ve also worked in Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Leadership Coaching and Operations Management. There’s room to raise your hand and grow.

When I think about what keeps me here, it always comes back to the people and the values we share. The Gallagher Way is more than a list of tenets. It shows up in how we support one another, stay humble even in high performing teams and stay present for each other. Every day I’m reminded that we’re part of something bigger. I’m grateful to be part of a team that believes in that and excited for what comes next.
