Supporting Injured Workers Every Day
After being accepted into the GB INVEST Guardian Program, I began focusing on California workers' compensation claims. Today, I manage a variety of claims and work closely with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and attorneys throughout the claims process.
No two days are exactly the same, and that's one of the things I enjoy most about the role. My work involves investigating claims, coordinating medical treatment, gathering information from all parties, and helping ensure benefits are provided appropriately. While there are many moving pieces involved, my goal remains the same: helping injured workers get the treatment they need, supporting them through recovery, and assisting them in safely returning to work.”
What makes this work especially rewarding is knowing that I can positively impact someone during a difficult chapter of their life.

I've never felt like I was navigating this career change alone. From leadership to fellow claims professionals, everyone has been willing to answer questions, offer guidance, and encourage growth. Even when I thought I was asking a "dumb" question, I was always met with patience, support, and a genuine desire to help me succeed.
The relationships I've built with my fellow INVEST classmates have also been a highlight. When I first began working remotely, I worried I might miss out on meaningful workplace connections. Instead, many of us formed strong bonds and continue to communicate daily, sharing knowledge, encouragement, and support. We celebrate successes together and help one another through challenges, making a lasting impact on each other's professional journeys.
Discovering My Potential

The customer service and relationship-building skills I developed over the years still play an important role in my work today, but this career has shown me that I am capable of making an even greater impact. Supporting injured workers through difficult circumstances has been incredibly meaningful and has reignited my interest in the legal field, something that has always fascinated me professionally.
