We are seeking a Vice President to manage and grow our Executive and Financial Risk practice in Bermuda. This role will be responsible for portfolio retention and growth, new product development, team and thought leadership, and strategic broking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Lines, Management Liability and Cyber placements, experience in program design and capacity placement, and a track record of business development and collaboration with growth leaders.


How you'll make an impact

•Identify and pursue new business.
• Lead portfolio growth through strategic client engagement and market expansion.
• Develop new products, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build partnerships with retail brokers, underwriters, and growth leaders to increase placements.
• Contribute to Gallagher Bermuda’s expansion and market positioning through business development efforts.
• Represent Gallagher Bermuda at industry events and networking engagements.
• Place Financial Lines and Cyber products, ensuring competitive and tailored coverage.
• Advise clients on program design, risk management, and capacity placement.
• Manage risk submissions, negotiate terms with underwriters, and oversee documentation.
• Develop and execute renewal strategies to optimize coverage and retention.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing tailored solutions and proactive engagement.
• Strengthen relationships with underwriters to negotiate competitive terms.


About you

• 10+ years of recent and relevant insurance experience.
• Broking experience within Financial & Professional Lines in Bermuda or the international insurance market.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proven experience leading a team, building a portfolio, and developing new products and facilities.
• Strong track record of growing revenue, developing relationships, and expanding market reach.
• Deep understanding of Financial Lines and Cyber risk placement, program design, and capacity structuring.
• Experience advising clients and colleagues on program design, capacity placement, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to work effectively with growth leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive business expansion.
• Proven ability to successfully negotiate, analyse exposures and review sales/market analytics.
• Willingness and ability to work beyond normal office hours to meet tight deadlines.
• Travel will be required.
