We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Account Executive in our Bermuda office. The
successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients
through the day to day account management of a portfolio of captive (re)insurance clients
How you'll make an impact
• Provide accounting and administrative services to a portfolio of captive (re)insurance clients.
• Prepare BMA filings, including E-SFR and related filings for client companies.
• Prepare client management accounts and IFRS/GAAP financial statements.
• Monitor clients’ regulatory compliance and coordinate the year end audit process.
• Liaise with client personnel and service providers.
• Prepare meeting materials and attend client meetings.
• Other ad-hoc projects as required.
About you
• An internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA)
• A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working in the financial services industry with captive insurance exposure. Audit experience specifically with direct captive insurance management exposure would be advantageous.
• Detailed technical knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP including an excellent understanding of insurance and investment accounting standards.
• Knowledge of the Bermuda insurance market and regulatory environment would be advantageous.
• Possess financial acumen, including an understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and manage accounts effectively.
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Advanced computer literacy skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge and experience with the SunSystems Accounting package would be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders and clients.
