These experiences have shaped my leadership philosophy and reinforced the importance of collaboration and trust. Here’s what my day looks like and what I’ve learned along the way.

A Day in My Role

A typical day starts with strategic planning, prioritizing tasks, and addressing new referrals or follow-ups. My mornings are focused on emails and coordinating with adjusters, doctors’ offices, and other stakeholders.

Afternoons are about outreach: connecting with claimants and injured workers, supporting teammates, and making sure we’re all aligned.

I end the day reviewing progress and planning ahead. Regular feedback sessions and professional development keep me growing and ensure we maintain high standards.

The Skills That Matter

To succeed in this role, flexibility and empathy are essential. You need patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills. Problem-solving and time management are critical too.

One thing I’ve learned: it’s okay not to have all the answers.

At Gallagher Bassett, teamwork brings out the best in us. We share knowledge, support each other, and face challenges together.

My Proudest Moment

My proudest moment was earning my manager's trust to take the next step into leadership. Having someone who believes in my ability to lead with compassion and empathy means everything.

My experiences here have reinforced my commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. My journey has highlighted the importance of mentoring and guiding others towards achieving their own success.

It also strengthened my belief in the value of building a team-oriented culture where everyone feels empowered.

Finding Balance

Early on, I pushed myself to give 150%, sometimes at the expense of balance. But Gallagher Bassett fosters a culture of trust and autonomy. Once your work is done, you’re encouraged to focus on yourself without micromanagement.

That flexibility, combined with incredible support from my manager and teammates, has been transformative. Recognition and rewards, like performance bonuses, show that hard work is valued. Regular feedback sessions help me grow without fear of speaking honestly.
