When I joined Gallagher Bassett Specialty, I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I discovered here has not only shaped my professional growth but also supported me through some of the most challenging moments in my personal life.

Leadership That Empowers Growth

Before Gallagher Bassett (GB), my experience was limited to one state. Today, I’ve handled claims in at least 20 states and learned new areas of law that have expanded my expertise. I’ve been promoted twice and now manage a team.

Leadership has been instrumental in this journey, supporting me through continuing education, conferences, and even speaking engagements. The support makes a huge difference.”

Work-Life Balance That Truly Matters

Remote work was new to me when I joined GB, and it has been life changing. At this stage of my career, flexibility is invaluable. Management understands that integrating family life with work makes us better professionals.

During my time here, I relocated, moved my parents in with me, and cared for my mom through her battle with Alzheimer’s. The flexibility I had to do my job while being there for her meant the world to me.

A Culture of Collaboration

The culture here is collaborative. We handle claims across diverse sectors: healthcare, cyber, construction, etc.

We meet weekly to share insights and strategies. Everyone is willing to help, share their knowledge on case values, venues, attorneys, and strategies for resolution. That openness not only helps me grow but also adds real value for our clients.

What Surprised Me Most

I wondered if working for a large corporation would make me feel like just another cog in the machine. Instead, I’ve found that what I do truly matters. My role impacts client service and team performance and hearing positive feedback from clients is incredibly rewarding.

Gallagher Bassett does a great job of showing how our division contributes to the bigger picture, and that makes me proud of the work we do.
