Position Summary - General
Workers Compensation Auditor leverages a background in workers compensation auditing with strong analytical and communication skills to conduct accurate and complete premium audits in a program environment primarily comprised of PEO and temporary staffing accounts.
Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity auditing workers compensation insurance policies within guidelines set forth by carrier partner. The Workers Compensation Auditor works under general supervision of management and/or a Sr. Workers Compensation Auditor and may from time-to-time supervise external field auditors.
He/she relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals that are set forth by management or a Sr. Workers Compensation Auditor. The Workers Compensation Auditor will resolve routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels, and will occasionally be called upon to orient and train other team members in audit processes and fundamentals.
How you'll make an impact
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Auditing, analyzing and managing workers compensation portfolio PEOs and temporary staffing companies.
- Strong professional analysis and communication, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance agents, insurance carriers, and insured customer risk management teams.
- Administering and monitoring carrier auditing rules and guidelines, regulations and rating manual rules in a multi-department environment.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred.
- 3+ years of workers compensation auditing management experience, thorough knowledge of premium audit procedures, policies and classifications.
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of independent research and analysis
- Strong organizational skills.
Desired:
- Practical experience auditing and managing multi-state workers compensation in the PEO and temporary services industries, including within programs regulatory guidelines.
- General understanding of workers compensation workflow processes, and knowledge of auditing philosophy, techniques and workers compensation regulation.
