A Chance that Changed Everything

When I first saw the email about the Gallagher Game Moment, I wasn’t sure it was real. It sounded too good to be true - a chance to nominate one of my kids to deliver the game ball at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England. But I figured, why not? I filled out the form and nominated my daughter.

A few weeks later, we got the news: she was selected. And not only that, but Gallagher was also flying all of us out, covering the hotel and tickets for the game. It was surreal.

I asked if there was any way my son could be involved too. Gallagher and World Rugby made it happen. He was invited to be a flag bearer. Watching both of my kids walk onto the field, representing the U.S. in front of a global audience, was something I’ll never forget.

It’s not just about the job. It’s about the people, the experiences, and the impact”.

A Birthday Abroad

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. We traveled on my daughter’s birthday. She turned 10 that weekend. What are the odds? It turned what was already a dream opportunity into a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

My kids were so excited. We shared the streaming link with friends and family, and there was even a short video clip of my daughter walking the ball out.

We extended our trip by one extra day, giving us time to explore England together, something we’d never done before.

It wasn’t just about the game. It was about the memories we made as a family, memories that will stay with us forever.

Sharing the Story

When I told my team, they were excited and proud. It opened our eyes to the kind of opportunities that exist here, if you pay attention and take a chance.

As a recruiter, I talk to candidates every day about what makes Gallagher Bassett different.

Even before this, I’ve had chances to volunteer, connect, and grow. But this? This experience gave me something incredible to share. It’s not just a pitch; it’s a lived experience.

Why Gallagher Bassett

Gallagher Bassett is a division of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. If someone asked me why they should join Gallagher Bassett, I’d say it’s the people. It’s the culture. It’s the chance to be part of something bigger and to bring your family along for the ride”.
