JOB DESCRIPTION

If you are looking for a casual yet professional work environment, you should consider Pronto Insurance. We are a managing general insurance agency that focuses on auto insurance policies and is located in La Crescenta, CA. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic team player capable of assisting in all aspects of the insurance process including scanning and indexing policies, processing mail and other general office duties.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open mail on a daily basis and review for routing

  • Determine type of mail received and route to appropriate department

  • Employee must recognize severity of documents for proper handling and routing

  • Operate poster meter, scanning, folding and other office machines on a daily basis

  • Ensure mail is processed and delivered in a timely manner

  • Adhere to proof of mail requirements for certain notices on a daily basis

  • Clear jams in sorting equipment


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google suite and web-based applications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents to scan, index and route to appropriate department 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management

  • Must have the manual dexterity to skillfully operate a computer keyboard and other standard office equipment, such as facsimile and telephone

  • The employee will lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis


U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Unrestricted work authorization to work in the U.S. For U.S. employment opportunities, Risk Placement Services, Inc. hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H, or L visas), such as students in practical training status.  Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. RPS will require proof of work authorization.
  • Willing to execute RPS’ Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
