Job Details:

  • Employment Status:  Full Time

  • Job Location: Brownsville, TX

  • Starting Pay: Based on experience & education

  • Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00 (can vary depending on projects, assignments and other tasks)


Job Responsibilities:


  • Effectively lead, train, and develop a group of 6-8 appraisers.  

  • Effectively delegate tasks, and hold the team accountable by driving results.

  • Present ideas, implement process changes and aim to constantly improve results via objective management.  

  • Estimate parts and labor to repair damage, using standard automotive labor and parts cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair

  • Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events - Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.

  • Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.

  • Evaluate practicality of repair as opposed to payment of market value of vehicle before accident.

  • Determine salvage value on total-loss vehicle.

  • Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.

 


Knowledge and Requirements:


  • 3-5 years auto appraisal experience required

  • Body shop experience is preferred

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) required

  • Must be computer literate

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Negotiation Skills

  • Problem solving & decision making skills

  • Planning & Organizational skills

  • Customer Service skills

  • Must have working knowledge of Pathways/CCC Estimating Software

  • Texas P&C Adjuster License preferred or be able to obtain one.



U.S. Eligibility Requirements:
