Position Summary:

The VRC Care Coordinator coordinates the administration of employee benefit systems to manage benefit programs such as basic and major medical coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, pension plans, and other benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Coordinates the administration of employee benefit programs such as basic and major medical coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, pension plans, and other benefits for the client.
  • Consults with and advises employees on eligibility, provisions, and other matters related to benefits.
  • Maintains benefits records and documents.
  • Assists in the preparation of employee benefits booklets and other employee benefit communications.
Additional Considerations:
  • Support VRC Operations with administrative duties i.e.: preparing and/or organizing documentation, reports and presentations.
  • Provide a proactive approach to customer service by listening to the member, taking ownership of solutions and escalates issues as appropriate in order to resolve concerns.
  • Ability to diffuse volatile situations and use good judgment and tact in dealing with members.
  • Assist members in database registration, completion of initial paperwork including consent/release forms, resource referrals and facilitate biometric and other screenings.
  • Provide excellent service and communication to providers, clinical and management team.
  • Work with clinical team to manage request for services.
  • Capable of efficiently managing multiple phone lines in a professional office setting.
  • Schedule and coordinate member appointments, meetings, classes, consults, planning needs, and department communication as needed.
  • Manage and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Actively monitors the use of confidential member information to maintain appropriate  levels of confidentiality as established under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
  • May assist in gathering necessary reports, statistics, and outcomes for the VRC as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelors degree and 1 or more years related experience required.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
