As the Training Coordinator you will provide administrative and project management support to the Organizational Development (OD) team. You will help manage the coordination of the early training programs and OD initiatives across the division to ensure trainings and initiatives operate in a consistent and timely manner.  You will help with coordinating and managing the execution for specific OD and early talent training and programs. 

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of Organizational Development and will receive direction and mentorship from designated Early Talent team members.  This position will work independently and proactively on early talent programs and processes. 



How will you contribute to the business?

  • You will assist with early talent training program’s (Gallagher Summer Internship Program (GSIP), Gallagher Career Associate Program (GCAP), etc.) which includes training coordination, internal stakeholders, and candidate/participant communication
  • You will maintain a calendar of Early Talent events (GSIP and GCAP) in Outlook and assist with divisional communications for all internal program(s) stakeholders
  • You manage scheduling and tracking for divisional early talent training programs  
  • You support OD initiatives by providing administrative support on programs and projects such as Human Capital and Talent Management, Workforce Planning, Growing Gallagher Greats, Talent Management Metrics and Reporting  
  • You prepare and provide appropriate resources and materials for various OD or Early Talent programs which may require external research or vendor management
  • You assist in building presentation materials and communication pieces which may include newsletter or web based communications and/or collateral
  • You provide project management support to various OD and/or Early Talent programs and initiatives which may include planning, prioritizing and organizing tasks towards project completion 
  • You will generate and manage reporting from HR database
  • You identify opportunities and process recommendations to achieve operational excellence
  • You provide administrative support on other HR projects and initiatives
  • You demonstrate the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

Requirements and Desired Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in HR or a training role OR experience working in a related business environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills to plan and deliver on goals and objectives

 Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Publisher
  • Strong Excel skills highly desired
  • Design experience in publisher or web related applications a plus  
  • Previous experience with creation of newsletter or web-based communications and/or content
  • Previous experience with Oracle and Oracle Business Intelligence tools desired
  • Must possess a technical or creative acumen and be willing to learn/embrace various systems/programs
