Are you a talented and focussed Accountant? If your strengths lie in partnering a forward-thinking business then look no further. Assisting your designated business area and reporting in to a Divisional Finance Director; you will be focussing on a broad range of tasks and requirements put on you by the business. Are you ready for the challenge?

Your Role:

  • To provide financial analysis and support to the Divisional FD’s in preparing for the new Income recognition policy. You act as liaison between the FD’s and group finance in Glasgow actively preparing schedules.
  • You embrace the unique structure of your division and become the key contact, best placed resource to question, probe and help deliver income recognition.
  • With your highly analytical skills, you maintain key schedules relating to cost and resource analysis; it's here that you add true value to your business area.
  • You know the finer details relating to the impact of income recognition standard within your area and are able to guide others through their financial commitments.
  • You have key liaison with Glasgow Finance to keep them updated of progress
  • Monthly preparation of board reporting in line with business and FCA requirements;
  • FCA regulatory reporting.
  • Compiling technical accounting papers and of course, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

What are we looking for?

University degree and part qualification of ACCA/CA/CIMA would tick the right boxes for us. Along with:

  • Strong technical accounting skills are essential.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel will be critical and previous experience of US GAAP would be desirable.
  • Do you have experience working in Financial Services management? Insurance would be especially useful.
  • Are you used to preparing and providing complex lead schedules for audit purposes? Put that with your skill for detailed analysis and we've got perfection.
  • You are flexible, happy to deal with multiple tasks and environments within our international organisation.
  • Highly organised and dedicated
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills in all formats.
  • You strive to work independently and but also shine as part of an effective team.
  • You have a superb focus always seeking opportunities to challenge yourself and others around you.
