Senior Systems Operations Engineer
- Determined to tackle problems across many diverse technologies: Citrix, EPO; HP Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019; Windows Client 7/10; Active Directory. You will also handle DNS; DHCP; Windows Clustering, SCOM, VMWARE, Thin Client Technologies Application packaging, Automation & Scripting!
- Working within strict change control governance, conduct in-depth investigations and providing root cause analysis of incidents and outages.
- High level technical representation on P1 issues, looking after production and test environments.
- Ensure regular and clear updates are provided along with dedicated systems performance, management and conservation. Take complex and technical information and make it easy for the business to digest.
- Provide technical solutions for BAU and project based requests. Research and deploy new platforms and improvements.
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- A proven solid grasp of how applications interact with the Windows Operating System is essential. Working experience in ‘Enterprise’ Microsoft products and ‘Active Directory’.
- An ITIL qualification is desirable but not critical. Validated knowledge of hardware issues and awareness of high availability concepts would be a benefit for the team.
- Experience with F5 (LTM/GTM) is essential
- We fully support automating as much as possible, so knowledge of scripting with Powershell is very useful. Desirable is knowledge of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS and ELM.
- Significant experience in providing 3rd level (or higher) support within a corporate environment
- A proactive achiever who gains happiness from providing excellent customer service. With good social skills and the confidence to communicate with global technical teams.
