About the role

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a permanent Senior HR Business Partner in our North Sydney office.  This role is supported by a broader HR team including; Talent & Leadership, Learning & Development, Remuneration & Benefits, Payroll, HR Analytics and HR Operations Support. 


Reporting to the Head of Human Resources (based in Melbourne) and being part of a broader national HR Business Partner team, this role will partner with group function Executives, along with senior Sales Managers and all their team members across the geography of NSW & ACT.


A day or a week in the shoes of this role can look like the following:

  • Partner with leaders to evolve the ‘people thinking’ to become more commercial and contemporary

  • Contribute to development of people agenda for business areas, utilising HR data and insights gleaned from key relationships to support the delivery of business’ goals and aspirations 

  • Support the Merger and Acquisition HR stream from due diligence through to integration

  • Promote thought leadership and appropriately coach or challenge leaders with their problems

  • Keep activity simple whilst building a trusting and warm relationship with stakeholders

  • Manage HR activity end to end  including, but not limited to employee enquiries which range from general to more challenging, change management and restructures; recruitment; workforce planning; performance management; well-being, health and safety; engagement; remuneration and benefits; legislative requirements and Award impacts; employee development and talent and succession

  • Be able to message the context of both local and global HR policies, processes and systems and embed these into the business as needed.


About you

You will be a seasoned HR Professional who has solid generalist experience and can demonstrate:


  • Degree qualified with preferable experience in a sales focussed organisation

  • Strong track record in building strong business relationships with key stakeholders and delivering people solutions to meet needs of the business

  • Able to respond quickly and effectively to business needs with solutions

  • Ability to deliver and guide management and non-management team members

  • The ability to work autonomously with competing priorities

  • Strong commercial and organisational skills and high attention to detail

  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of current HR issues and legislation.
