Position Summary:

Concentrated on providing guidance and direction to the sales team, the Sales Advisor acts as subject matter expert and mentor to support the sales team's ability to build the necessary knowledge and skills set and to ensure revenue and profitability for assigned areas are met.

Key responsibilities also include:
  • Working with Leadership to ensure strategy is turned into clearly defined operational strategies and annual business plans.
  • Effectively onboarding new production staff.
  • Providing ongoing coaching feedback to sales team and management.
  • Supporting pipeline management and business development activities.
  • Collaborating with Leadership on sales strategy, marketing plans, goals and objectives.
  • Contributes consulting expertise on industry trend and segment practice.
  • Participates in goal setting and performance discussions.  

Additional Considerations: 

  • Up to 60% travel.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years directly applicable experience in insurance or financial brokerage.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications with key strengths in PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint. Strong leadership, negotiation and written communication ability.
  • Strong ability to drive efficiencies through collaboration and influence.
  • Prior experience in a sales supervisory role preferred.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.  For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization.
  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
