We are looking for a Risk Management Consultant to join our internal Risk Management Solutions team; evaluating information objectively and guiding your client to safety. 

Your aim is to help clients balance risk exposure more actively. Using commercial expertise and good judgement to assess the decisions for clients. Actively focussed on growing retention and renewal rates along the journey!

Conduct research in to your client’s business and highlight any risks that they need to consider. Protecting your clients interests before delivering bespoke solutions is paramount.


We are flexible about office location for this role - although we would like to base it in the north of the UK.

Your Role:

  • Use your expert knowledge to make proposals for changes to our operating procedures;  safeguard and reduce risk to colleagues, visitors and contractors. Call on your experience in writing contingency plans, courses and proposals to provide the best solution for your clients' issues.
  • Maintain a high external and internal profile to maximise the opportunity for business winning and obtain business leads
  • Work seamlessly with other colleagues within the Broking, Claims and Account management teams, you'll be responsible for regular updates and reviews - providing crucial information.
  • Use superb interpersonal skills you will work together and connect with clients on their requirements both current and future, and deliver in accordance with quoted work proposals.
  • Above all, demonstrate your innovative ideas based on Industry activities /trends and keep tabs on industry standard methodology.


Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Do you belong to any of the individual specialty institutes and are you educated to degree standard?
  • Minimum of the National Education Board of Safety and Health general certificate is required, preferably having attained CMIOSH status for safety knowledge.
  • Demonstrated rapport-building, tactical negotiation and influencing and strong client facing relationship consulting experience is crucial for the success of your role.
  • Able to evidence risk management services from a consultancy perspective, deep knowledge of regulations and guidelines as applied to the type of client.
  • Problem-solving mind-set with creative approaches and solutions to issues coupled with the confidence to interact comfortably with senior level management. Highly motivated and results focused whilst remaining ethical and keeping your integrity high.
  • A robust knowledge of general insurance products would be an advantage.
  • Eligible to work in the UK with the ability to travel
