Position Summary:

The receptionist will primarily be responsible for greeting visitors/clients, determine their needs and contact appropriate department: answering main telephone line and route calls accordingly: answering basic questions and other duties as assigned. This is a very busy position and the successful candidate must be polished and demonstrate professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greets, screens, directs, and instructs visitors with excellent customer service
  • Answering, screening and managing inbound phone calls
  • Issues visitor badges or name tags
  • Makes conference room reservations
  • Provides information to visitors and callers regarding company
  • Pages employees when requested
  • Assists with clerical projects
  • Assist various departments with data entry, projects and misc duties as needed
  • Performs receptionist duties as assigned
  • Maintains reference directories
  • Receives incoming mail
  • Maintains clean reception area
  • Other duties as assigned
Required:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • No experience required.

Work Characteristics:

  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills highly desirable.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.  For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization
  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure
