Position Summary:

The Operational Project Manager is responsible for supporting and driving the identification, prioritization, and improvement of business and operational processes within RPS branches and centralized service centers.  We are looking for true change agents who can partner with leaders to drive change, exert influence without authority, teach and train others, and positively affect results.  Our focus is on delivering results; not just about completing projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Works on multi-disciplinary projects and requires a broad knowledge of the firm and its key functions

·        Gathers data from various sources to create information, draw conclusions, make decisions, and take appropriate actions (up to and including prioritization and implementation of solutions)

·        Leads the execution of operational improvement projects:

o   Tests process improvement hypotheses and perform data analysis to prove / dispute

o   Develops business cases for project / investment go/no-go decisions

o   Analyzes and reengineers business processes, with input from management and staff:

§  Documents ‘as-is’ processes and information flows

§  Develops ‘to-be’ process flows and process change diagrams to identify needed organizational and workflow changes

§  Supports the development of action plans, including time frame, work to be performed, sequence of events, etc.

·        Ensures customer satisfaction by meeting and exceeding timing, goals, and budget on projects and initiatives

·        Identifies Best Practices through alignment of common practices and technologies that should be used across business units, functions and regions to create standardization and scale

·        Acts as a mentor in developing the continuous improvement skill set in others

Required:

·        Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of related experience

·        Microsoft Office skills (proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

·        Professional oral and written communication skills with both large and small audiences

·        Willingness / Ability to travel up to 50%

·        Insurance industry experience preferred; PMP or Six Sigma certification a plus

·        Drive for excellence in all aspects of work

·        Team-focused; strong at creating collaborative cross-functional relationships with various groups to drive and deliver improvements

·        Strong analytical ability to interpret reports, understand financial data, and develop Cost/Benefit analysis to inform business decisions

·        Strong organizational and time management skills

·        Self-motivated, self-managed, & driven; ability to work effectively when unsupervised

 

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

·        18 years of age or older.

·        Willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

·        Unrestricted work authorization to work in the U.S. For U.S. employment opportunities, Risk Placement Services, Inc. hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H, or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. RPS will require proof of work authorization.

·        Willing to execute RPS’ Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
