Are you from an insurance, process or project based background? Could you support our growing business in developing and building for the future? If you are then you’ll have an encouraging, driven and welcoming business waiting for you.

Joining an established Operations team, you’ll use your experience to support the Operations Director in assessing our existing operational models to ensure that all of our teams are performing at the height of their capabilities.

Providing operational support to 6 business units, across an array of business lines (Marine, Aviation, Specie and Fine Art), you will be managing the background workings of our daily processes, such as management information, producing internal reports, working with our central services departments and making relevant suggestions for improvement.

You will champion the things we value, our behaviours and conduct; whilst leading from the front. We're a close-knit and positive group who would benefit from someone who shares the same values.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Working with the Operations Director and alongside an existing Operations Manager, you'll compliment their styles and skill set. Your role is clearly focused on supporting the front office operations, whilst ensuring the back-office operations that underpin our business are aligned to our goals.

  • With direct experience of project work, you’ll be able to lead by example, drawing on your previous experiences and guiding the teams through the more challenging aspects of a project.

  • You will be asked to lead areas of the business to achieve all agreed critical metrics and SLA’s across a variety of measures. Whilst the sales team will focus on sales, new business and renewals, the operations area focuses on making things work and enabling the sales team to perform their role.

  • Working with the Operations Director & senior management team to build, design and implement change. You'll use your honed analytical skills to review MI, in turn; it will help you to validate your suggestions.

  • You'll take pride in your progress and the positive impact that you're having on our business. As such, we'll expect you to produce regular MI reports to show us exactly how you're improving and challenging our business.

  • You will attend project and divisional meetings, distribute action points and make plans to inspire change. You'll act as a contact for our support services (compliance, financial crime, IT and accounts), as well as dealing with facilities when required. Our Operations unit provide a full support package that comes from truly understanding the business and product lifecycle.

There will also be occasions for you to showcase your skills by managing and contributing to special projects when needed

Person Specification:

  • We’re looking for you to have insurance knowledge, a deep understanding of operations and/or experience of project specific work.  You’re going to be a worker, guide and expert and your skill set and experience should reflect this.

  • Do you have experience in leading/managing projects? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

  • We are looking for you to have strong analytical skills. Your ability to debate and influence at all levels whilst working in a fast-paced environment is essential. You're an expert who will guide and develop those around you, enlisting your team’s help where necessary.

  • You have strong interpersonal skills, engaging presentation abilities and your problem-solving mind-set would suit this role.

  • Can you develop creative, innovative approaches and solutions using a diligent approach that is results focused?

  • You will deliver a high degree of integrity, be eligible to work in the UK and in return, we will value and nurture your career.
