We have an exciting opportunity for a detailed, dedicated and proven Operations Business Analyst to join Gallagher Re at a pivotal juncture, as we look to strengthen our analytical capability and commence the activation of the Gallagher Re name to a wider US network and drive this exiting fast-growing business forward.

Working within the Re-Insurance division of our international organisation, providing critical business support. We're looking for a, measured and pragmatic professional to join us and improve our client service offering.

Providing vital support to our Operations Director, you will maintain the highest standards, achieve set objectives and deliver on business change.

Your Role:

  • Support, Lead and deliver in leading edge industry change initiatives which will re-shape how we trade in the future.
  • Ensure first line of defence/risk target operating model is fully embedded
  • Support and encourage an effective risk culture associated robust process controls
  • Evaluate and develop effective governance and reporting of critical metrics
  • Support and manage project initiatives. Work with other functions to outline and detail requirements and convert them in to structured requests.
  • Develop efficiencies to processes by problem solving and creating informed alternative solutions
  • Support or lead in the validation of test plans or the creation of UAT plans, scripts and approach
  • Support in the delivery of any operational improvement projects

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Preferably you have a relevant Degree but this isn't critical if you have equivalent experience in operations teams, compliance and/or risk management.
  • Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute – desirable
  • To be hugely successful in this role, you’ll need first-class organisational skills.  A proven track record in managing multiple pieces of work and the ability to prioritise seamlessly.
  • You come from an operations, support or process background and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of operational practices, techniques and governing regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing risk and regulatory exposure – ideally within insurance, broking or underwriting environments.
  • Confident financial, quantitative and analytical skills. A confident transformation agent, credible and persuasive.
  • Happy to present your findings to others in a clear manner using strong and robust interpersonal skills.
  • You thrive in a fast-moving environment and are keen to deliver results.
  • Problem-solving attitude, keen to develop creative approaches, efficiencies and solutions
  • Highly motivated and results focussed, a diligent performer with the highest level of integrity
  • Eligible to work in the UK
