New Business Specialist
The Client Benefits Analyst Senior position is primarily focused on providing technical expertise in the sale, placement, and service of employee benefits. This position will work closely with the Client to provide strategic guidance, partnering as the daily go-to benefits professional.
- This role builds and maintains effective business relationships with clients through proactive client service, effective management of renewals, accurate and timely responses to inquiries, and ongoing problem resolution.
- Lead contact and day-to-day administrator responsible for assigned clients.
- Analyzes and interprets plan rules to ensure compliance with plan documents and summary plan descriptions (SPD).
- Manages special projects as needed.
- Contributes to policy and benefit plan development through review, analysis, and improvement recommendations.
- Maintains an ongoing effort to determine and maintain equity with current benefit trends and legislated requirements and programs.
- Serves as technical or functional expert.
- May provide guidance to lower level staff, but has no formal supervisory responsibility.
Additional Considerations:
- Bachelors degree and 5 years related experience required.
- Understanding of the key challenges in employee benefit plans and current health care trends.
- Excellent client relationship-building and presentation skills.
- 2-3 years brokerage/agency experience preferred.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects while ensuring timely and accurate client deliverables, with effective problem solving and resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, project planning and management, analytical, and multi-tasking skills.
