Position Summary:
The Merger & Acquisition Change Manager is responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of the organization and the well-being of its members by partnering with business leaders and HR professionals to adapt the business strategy, processes and/or people-focused initiatives to facilitate the achievement of key strategic objectives.  This position designs and implements processes, strategies and tools to maximize organizational capability, implement change and engage employees.  Independently designs and implements organizational development interventions to maximize organizational effectiveness, facilitate change, address business issues and support dominant priorities. 

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Acts as an internal consultant by providing change management support using change management frameworks, tools and processes.  This includes creating and executing communication campaigns, training reinforcement strategies, etc.  
  • Evaluates business initiatives and improvement opportunities to determine the appropriate organizational effectiveness solutions needed to meet short- and long-term business goals and adoption.  
  • Organizes, leads, and participates in improvement initiatives, projects, and process teams to deliver specific, measurable, achievable and time-bound improvement objectives.  
  • Writes business communications/proposals, completes project plans and delivers presentations to obtain buy-in and support for solutions/initiatives.
  • Advises managers on how best to align organizational development initiatives and business strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Analyzes and interprets information from various data sources; uses information to determine solutions to continually enhance organizational effectiveness.  
  • Serves as key organizational development resource to educate and provide support on new strategies, frameworks, tools and processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Considerations:

  • Bachelors Degree in organizational development, human resources, business, or related field required
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years progressive human resources experience including organizational development, change management and/or individual/team capability-building 
  • Must have minimum of 2 years experience as an organizational development specialist charged with designing and implementing organization-wide initiatives
  • Advanced degree
  • Experience working in the Insurance and/or Financial Services industry
  • Prior experience with a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • CPLP, SPRH or PHR certification

  • Has basic understanding of professional and industry standards and practices.  
  • Ability to manage/balance multiple priorities, delivering a high quality work product on a timely basis.  
  • Possesses collaborative work style; able to work effectively in a team environment to achieve common objectives.  
  • Has a superior customer service focus and consulting mindset.
  • Ability to conduct large group meetings.  
  • Quickly determines critical issues and translate into actionable solutions.
