Position Summary:

Dedicated to supporting and improving business and technology processes by managing  of specialty segment or regional projects and project managers.  Accountable for overall ownership of specialty segment and regional projects, incumbent(s) lead and provide oversight for multiple complex, company-wide, technology and technology related projects, acting as Project Manager for specific projects as required.  Ensures projects in area of responsibility are executed per the Global IT Policy and Standards Manual.  

Responsibilities
  • Actively assist PMs with project planning, budget and financial management, issues, and risk identification/ mitigation/ resolution. 
  • Ensures concise, weekly project status reporting is provided to key stakeholders.  
  • Manages and leads direct and indirect staff, using strong skills in coaching and development to facilitate individual growth.  
  • Actively engage as a key participant in developing the team, leading and mentoring to drive and build the careers of GTS personnel. 
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that communication is open and ongoing and that technology needs are being addressed.  
  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.  
  • Serves as senior subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures.  
  • Manages both people and processes. 
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Engineering  
  • 7 years related IT experience, including infrastructure portfolios and projects, technical project management, and global implementation  
  • Experience managing technology project managers  
  • Extensive experience in project reporting, including executive level briefing
Preferred:
  • PMP certification preferred

  • Ability to drive consensus among various stakeholders, including technology management and third parties.  
  • Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and to collaborate effectively with technology, application, compliance, and audit personnel at multiple levels.  
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure
