As a member of the Automotive Practice working in the Automotive Underwriting Team (AUT), this team member will train as an Underwriter. AUT Underwriters act on behalf of subscribing insurers on group programs in the Automotive sector. The Underwriter's role is to provide premium quotes and day to day administration of policies for AUT producers and sub-brokers while adhering to Gallagher's contract requirements and professional standards.




How Will You Affect the Business?


  • Review and evaluate insurance questionnaires and related documents

  • Obtain all relevant information not included in the initial submission to ensure a thorough evaluation of the risk

  • Provide premium quotations and proposals utilizing AJG software specifically designed for the automotive sector

  • Issue policy documentation

  • Calculate mid-term premium additions/deletions and issue endorsements

  • Other like duties as assigned

Education and Experience


  • College or University Degree or commensurate experience required
  • Strong keyboarding and computer skills – proficiency with Excel
  • Knowledge of EPIC broker management system
  • RIBO License or willingness to obtain license
