Are you able to mitigate risk? Can you assess a situation and keep our business safe? Our leading IT team are keen to secure an expert in IT Security to keep us on the right tracks. Focussed on creating and implementing security solutions to our international organisation, you'll also manage our security tools and processes.

We're need your wealth of experience when it comes to managing system events and alerts. You will be confident providing analysis, diagnosis and resolution of detected alerts, vulnerabilities and customers IT issues. The role also requires a high level of understanding on Network security tools, SEIM products and Vulnerability scanning tools across the UK infrastructure, involving escalations from the Global SOC, Infrastructure teams, Service Desk and Desk Side Support and assisting with IT related project work.

Your Role:

  • You'll design information security systems and solutions within challenging timeframes and within budget. You help us to identify, investigate and respond to security events, both automated and manual.
  • Your role ensures the total IT security of our data through complete & timely administration of our security products.
  • Monitoring the output of vulnerability assessment tools, you use positive relationships with system owners to fix the issues. You offer insight to the latest IT Security trends, helping to deliver new and dedicated solutions to the business.
  • You're a forward thinking professional who takes pride in being able to foresee possible hazards. You'll use horizon scanning for emerging IT security risks and vulnerabilities; cleverly handle issues, evaluate their severity and appropriately deal with them.
  • Support the IB 1st Line and 2nd Line of Defence Risk Functions in resolving risk. You complete security aspects of due diligence requests from existing customers and prospects.
  • You ensure that we adopt a one best way approach, producing local guidelines where appropriate. You'll assess local levels of policy implementation on a regular basis, providing accurate assurance over position against policy.
  • Playing an important role, You deliver crucial help to your Team Leaders via coaching, mentoring and setting business objectives and targets.
  • You work effectively with key business partners and the IT team, providing advice, positively communicating key decisions and ensuring IT solutions fit with appropriate standards.




Your Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:


  • You are educated to degree level or equivalent with qualifications such as CISSP or GIAC being preferred.

  • You have a deep knowledge of information security practices and regulatory compliance such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a financial services organisation; Cyber Security related experience, data loss prevention and/or infrastructure security hardening.

  • Superb communication and presentation skills with the ability to analyse and interpret information.

  • You have good interpersonal skills, are supportive and encourage change positively. You're able to cope with changing priorities and work demands

  • You have eligibility to work in the UK
