We are recruiting an Internal Auditor Senior to join the team; drive high standards, take pride in results and have a positive influence on the team. Do you have the knowledge and dedicated experience to influence key business partners?
You will participate in audit assignments from planning through to reporting. Supporting the development of the scope, designing the required tests, performing testing and vetting the potential findings with key colleagues.

With a deep understanding of the full audit process within financial services, you are essential to our success. If you have UK financial experience and ACA/ACCA/CIMA/IIA / AIA / FIA / CII qualified auditor or equivalent that would prove useful.

Role Responsibilities:

Participate in the end to end audit process for each assignment allocated:
  • Scoping of the area walked through, including identifying key risks, key controls and testing approach taking a risk based approach.
  • Deliver assigned audit testing as agreed with the Audit Manager for the audit, ensuring work papers are documented in accordance with the Global IA Manual and the IIA requirements.
  • Support the Audit Manager for the audit, and on occasion, lead the key meetings within the audit engagement.
  • Ensure work paper documentation is clear, supports the overall conclusion reached and consider the ‘wider-picture’.
  • On occasion review junior staff work papers.
  • Ensure all issues identified and drafted are factual and can be supported by documented evidence.
  • Draft the audit report for review by the Audit Manager, SAM and HoIA

Audit actions follow up
  • Perform follow up work on the issues once the audit report has been issued to ensure actions are implemented in line with the agreed action plan date.
  • Perform verification work on all issues and actions closed as per the Global IA manual and local requirements.
  • All verification work on closed actions are performed within the KPI set out in the Global IA manual.
Throughout the audit assignment and follow up work performed, build effective relationships with key business stakeholders and maintain those relationships after each assignment.  The agreement of audit findings before the key close out meetings for each assignment;

  • You should have an interest in internal auditing and financial services; constantly seeking opportunities to maximise your contributions to the business.
  • You're analytical with a high attention for details and crucial facts. You mentor the business and your team through challenging tasks.
  • Highly motivated and commercially aware with credibility to liaise and present at all levels. Confident in building and developing strong, positive business relationships.
  • Excellent social, written and verbal skills to work effectively with a range of partners - both internal and external.
  • You're naturally driven with the desire to meet deadlines and deliver quality. You thrive in a challenging and ever-changing environment.
  • You have eligibility to work in the UK
