We are recruiting an Insurer Technician to join our Finance team. Can you liaise with our branches and resolve any transactions that seem out of place? Do you possess a confident telephone manner? Are you someone that is not swayed easily? You'll be able to extract the correct information out of every phone call, staying on track and focussed to resolve the challenges that arise.

We would love for you to come from a similar background and have superb interpersonal skills and natural problem solving ability; wanting to deliver a strong track record of results and take pride in achieving your objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve any issues on insurer transactions; by having open and frank conversations. Ensuring statements & accounting systems are reconciled monthly, in line with audit requirements and regulations. It's critical to have high accuracy standards, we're counting on you as our expert to guide us.

  • Ensure settlements do not result in any transactions being funded; assist in the remediation of any funded items; review invoice listing report, ensuring all items are agreed with counterparty and payable items are settled.

  • Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for role with specific attention, but not limited to Whistle Blowing and Treating Customers Fairly.

  • Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • University degree preferable but not essential. As is a deep understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge of insurance products or previous experience working within financial services would be really useful here but isn't essential.

  • Excellent attention to detail, customer service focus and empathetic awareness coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Multi-tasking and planning; ability to prioritise workload and operate to strict deadlines.

  • MS Office Proficiency.
