We are looking to recruit an Insurer Analyst to join our Finance team based in Glasgow. It's a busy role that will require a dedicated and observant team member to make it their own.

You will be responsible for handling the reconciliation and settlement of insurer transactions. You should be comfortable when handling figures and have the natural ability to simplify when speaking to the rest of the business.

Your role will contribute towards the success of the Insurer accounts department, by enthusiastically analysing data available to provide the offshore team expert advice and support, taking direct action in the resolution of a query.

Key Responsibilities

  • Are you able to effectively manage your time whilst still deliver a quality outcome? If so, the tasks that are required will prove challenging yet rewarding. Your job is to ensure that tasks carried out are completed to the highest level of quality, communicate effectively using your first class interpersonal skills, and ensure that work carried out for the department positively contributes towards achievement of departments performance.

  • Responsible for daily approval of payment requests, producing and investigating held funds reports and any subsequent analysis whilst ensuring all aged transactions are reviewed and assessed. It's a role that has plenty of scope - if you like being kept busy?

  • Work in conjunction with insurer account technician to effectively reduce held funds transactions, provide your team with any additional help and support if needed.

  • Review the weekly funding report and take appropriate action to recover the funded transaction balance; it's imperative that we track certain data within our business, you would play a key part of this process.

  • You will have the opportunity to show us just how well you can manage your time and workload by ensuring all queries are handled in line with department goals of 24 hours – for response.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • University degree preferable but not essential

  • Knowledge of insurance products would be a benefit but to us, it's your attitude and skill set that appeals. Previous experience working in Financial Services or the insurance industry might help you to get off to a quick start but we're confident in your abilities to learn on the job if required.

  • Excellent attention to detail will be required along with excellent customer service focus and empathetic awareness.

  • Multi-tasking and the core ability to prioritise workload and plan ahead will be critical when it comes to operating to strict deadlines

  • MS Office Proficiency

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
