Do you thrive when designing and maintaining plans? Are you confident when identifying and managing risks? We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our team. You will be planning and managing the delivery multiple Infrastructure projects.

Working with key partners to clarify project criteria; and provide leadership, guidance and coaching to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the lead point of accountability, define, agree and manage project scope, outputs to ensure business requirements are understood, agreed and met.

  • Responsible for High-Level and overall Tracking, Dashboards, Reports and Project Documentation in relation to specific Project(s)

  • Ensure that AJG’s Project Governance is adhered too, providing all necessary Project documentation (PID’s, RAG Reports etc.,)

  • Presentation of Projects and Initiatives to Leadership, Exec and CIO Level

  • Responsible for Tracking and Reporting against Budget

  • Responsible for Tracking and Reporting all Project Risk and Issues escalations;

  • Ensure Corporate Standards are maintained
  • Hands-on experience to apply in running multiple Infrastructure Projects

  • Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for role with specific attention, but not limited to Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly

Person Specification:

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent in computer science or a related field

  • Prince 2 or equivalent (PMP)
  • ITIL (Foundation)
  • Previous Infrastructure experience in running Operations and/or Delivery (End User Computing, Data Centre, Networking WAN & LAN, SAN & Security)

  • As a leader, you will impart a good understanding of the implications of new technologies and processes for the wider business environment and be familiar with the full IT project life cycle.

  • hands-on experience in large-scale 24/7 enterprise environments hosting hundreds of servers, complex networks and multiple locations

  • Extensive hands-on experience in the implementation, delivery and management of infrastructure based projects, including high availability, site security and disaster recovery

  • Strong financial budgeting and commercial experience of running IT projects & programmes

  • Strong experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and vendors – experience in preparing vendor selection processes (RFI & RFP process)

  • Experience of managing change, targeted service delivery
  • Experience of M&A’s and integration
  • Financial services or other regulated sector experience, preferable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication  with the ability to communicate effectively

  • High degree of organisational and planning capability and autonomy in own workload and within a team

  • Excellent analytical & interpretive skills
  • Forward planning for change
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities
  • Able to quickly identify potential problems and seek advice when required

  • Able to handle and process large amounts of data
  • Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information
