Do you thrive when designing and maintaining plans? Are you confident when identifying and managing risks? We are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join our team. You will be planning and managing the delivery multiple discrete IT projects.

Working with key partners to clarify project criteria; and provide leadership, guidance and coaching to the team.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

  • Be the lead point of accountability, define, agree and manage project scope, outputs to ensure business requirements are understood, agreed and met.

  • Define and establish the project structure, plan, manage, monitor and report on the work of project whilst handling the expectations of project partners.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external team members.

  • Ensure projects comply with AJG IT project methodology, governance, tooling and template standards. Integrate suppliers into the project and manage all parties via an integrated delivery plan.

  • Manage external IT suppliers including Service Contracts, Invoices and access for installation & maintenance.

  • Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the team whilst being personally accountable for all Project Management Work which will be:

    Task level Microsoft Project (MSP) plan (and underlying Work Breakdown Structure)

    Brightworks input and Project Status Report (weekly or fortnightly)

    Project Initialisation Document PID or Project Brief (change controlled)

    Resource effort estimate, budget and forecast
    Project Risk Register
    Project Issue Log
    Project Artefact Repository
    Project Governance and Change Control processes

Person Specification:

  • To be confident in this role, we would expect a minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or commensurate experience required with emphasis in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems Management.

  • You will have deep understanding of good quality project management processes in some, or all, of the following ten key process areas:

  • Governance and Stakeholder Management, Scope/Requirements Management, Business Case Realisation, Change Control, Task Level Work Planning, Resource Scheduling and Management, Risk Remediation and Issue Resolution, Project Quality Assurance, Performance Monitoring and Reporting & Third Party Suppliers and Alliances Interaction.

  • As a leader, you will impart a good understanding of the implications of new technologies and processes for the wider business environment and be familiar with the full IT project life cycle.

  • Project Coordination will require superb interpersonal skills, understanding, ability and passion to explain and present complex technical ideas to audiences in a persuasive and convincing manner.

  • Can you demonstrate a high level of professionalism, organisation, self-motivation and a desire for self-improvement? Can you motivate and drive a team to achieve and deliver greatness against challenging goals?

  • If you can learn and share knowledge with others, you've got the traits that we would like to embrace. A large part of the role will be to deliver information with integrity and sensitivity. You're the subject expert and will need to guide us.

  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Client Site travel maybe required from time to time
