Position Summary:

 

The Human Resources Consultant plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity for the client. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Keeps records of benefits plan participation such as insurance and pension plan, and human resources transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.

Additional Considerations: 

  • Communicates effectively with clients regarding project expectations, process, updates and completion. 
  • Follows up with clients to ensure satisfaction of results.
  • Serves as an onsite resource to client organizations providing part−time HR Manager duties.
  • Leads recruitment efforts on Executive Search engagements and present final candidates to client for consideration.
  • Conducts continuous research to ensure the organization and its clients remain up to date on compliance, benchmarks, laws and legislation, etc.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 or more years related experience.
Desired:
  • Strong comprehensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Superior technical skills within MS Office and the ability to learn new programs quickly.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.  For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization.
  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
