Position Summary:
The Full Charge Bookkeeper performs a broad range of accounting functions with lead responsibility for accounting records in a branch office or organization department. This position involves processing accounting for multiple companies. Strong QuickBooks skills will be necessary for this full charge bookkeeper position. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assigns transaction codes to documents. 
  • Classifies, examines, and analyzes accounting records and prepares related financial reports and statements. 
  • Performs special projects as assigned
  • Completes more routine and established projects and analyses for a specific accounting or finance area.  
  • Works under supervision of management or more senior staff.  
  • Ensures documents being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period. 
  • Posts, balances, and closes subsidiary ledgers. 
  • May follow up on delinquent accounts receivable customers. 
  • Analyzes and verifies internal consistency, completeness, and arithmetic accuracy of account documents and makes adjustments.

  • Process accounting for multiple companies
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Reconcile bank and brokerage accounts
  • Prepare and make monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Review Source Documentation for Reasonableness
  • Month-end close
  • Assist in external audits
  • Assist in submitting information to tax preparer
  • Assist in 1099 preparation
  • Special projects as assigned

  • High school diploma + 2 or more years related experience OR Bachelor's degree
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.  
  • Accounting Degree preferred
  • Quickbooks Experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel Skills preferred
  • Experience in Great Plains and/or Intacct preferred
