Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Analyzes complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
  • Provides interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, accounting theory, or customer financial regulations. 
  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance. 
  • Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly. 
  • Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records and financial statements.
  • Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts. 
  • Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements and operating forecasts.
Additional Considerations:

The Financial Analyst Rotational Position is a two to three year rotational opportunity designed to prepare highly talented Accounting and Finance graduates for future leadership roles in Corporate Finance. The opportunity offers hands-on training in a variety of financial disciplines.


The participant will develop numerous contacts and have opportunities to interact with senior management throughout Finance, Sales and Account Management Organizations. Management supports participants through mentoring, ongoing training, development and performance feedback. Upon completion the participant is expected to hold post-rotational opportunities within Gallagher Bassett Finance Organization. The rotational position is approximately two to three years in duration and includes two to three rotations in areas such as:

  • Pricing & Costing
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Accounting
  • Financial Operations
  • Client Financial Services / Banking



  • Bachelors degree
  • Two or more years related work experience


  • Degree in Accounting or Finance discipline 
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
  • A minimum 3.2 GPA is required (overall and major)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

U.S. Eligibility Requirements (Standard for all U.S. Positions)
