Position Summary:

The selected individual will advance data capture, data science, and client experience; improve data foundation opportunities; lead select data-driven projects across the enterprise in partnership with business divisions and functions. The Data Project Manager serves as a point of escalation and will work closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve the completeness, quality and value of core data assets, as well as to support and ensure adherence to an enterprise data management approach for data capture and data science both at the Divisional and Enterprise levels.

Key responsibilities involve:

  • Manage projects supporting Global Data Leadership Committee initiatives including data harvest, data analytics, data science, and data-driven products.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team and manage/support global and divisional data projects, in partnership with business units.
  • Support build out of next generation data management including data governance, technology foundation, and data repositories.
  • Support projects in Innovation Center focused on next generation data and advanced analytics.
  • Play critical leadership role in data discovery & mapping, data harvest priority, project plan and management, and change management phases of the engagement. 
  • Roll out and support adoption of an enterprise wide engagement framework with a focus on data capture of available and new data elements, and data quality and completeness of captured data.
  • Develop & maintain inventory of common data elements across the enterprise, including authoritative divisional data warehouse, management system, and global data warehouse.
  • Promote sharing and adoption of best practices, data assets, and capabilities (including enterprise technology, skills and talent, third party partnerships) across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are communicated and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, and adoption requirements.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in a major services organization, with large-scale data or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance, insurance brokerage, and/or financial services industry. knowledge of data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, project management and change management experiences including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design.
  • Very strong problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Solid Power point, Excel, and other analytical tool skills.
  • Master's degree.
  • Highest personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics.
  • Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships, strong culture awareness.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals.
