Position Summary:

Leads global data harvest activities, data foundation improvements, and select project work streams across the enterprise in partnership with business divisions and functions. Provides oversight and guidance, working with Divisional and Functional area leadership on data transformation, normalization, and standardization of files (e.g., claims, policy, client, submissions); to improve completeness, quality and value of core data assets; to ensure adherence to an enterprise data management approach; to support data a governance, integrity, standards and practices both at the Divisional and Enterprise. Accountable for building a team, partnering with Division and Corporate functions, working with third party and captive service centers on accomplishing enterprise data objectives. 

Key responsibilities involve:
  • Facilitating the development and implementation of data quality standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise.
  • Managing projects supporting Global Data Working Group initiatives including data harvest of next generation data elements, data-driven analytics and products.
  • Supporting build out of next generation data management including data governance,  technology foundation, and data repositories.
  • Defining indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, and adoption requirements.
  • Further accountable for roll out and support adoption of an enterprise wide engagement framework with a focus on data capture of available and new data elements, and data quality and completeness of captured data.
  • Plays critical leadership role in data discovery & mapping, data harvest priority, project plan and management, and change management phases of the engagement.
  • Maintains inventory of common data elements across the enterprise, including authoritative divisional data warehouse, agency management system, and global data warehouse.  
  • Promotes sharing and adoption of best practices, data assets, and capabilities (including technology, skills and talent, third party partnerships) across the enterprise.
  • Bachelor's degree + minimum of 8 years of experience in a major services organization, with large-scale data or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of insurance, insurance brokerage, and/or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, project management and change management experiences including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design.
  • Very strong problem solving and analysis skills. Solid Power point, Excel, and other analytical tool skills.
  • Master's degree.
  • Highest personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics.
  • Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships, strong culture awareness.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals.
