What is the role?

 

This role is to assist the team with data related tasks, projects and analysis by developing and using data-related tools to support Gallagher’s data driven solutions.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Analysing and manipulating data files in Excel to:
    • Ensure data quality
    • Provide high level stats and reports
    • Provide files for loading into web tools
    • Automate manual processes (validation, testing, etc) through the use of VB scripts
  • Familiarity with bulk email tools
  • Analysing and interpreting data from employee survey tools such as Survey Monkey
  • Creating reports that play back data results, trends and findings
  • Analysis of web analytics for internal and external clients
  • Understanding of interpreting qualitative data and how it can be correlated quantitative research
  • Writing scripts to analyse data and provide summaries
  • To support in the delivery of project-based work including timescale and budget awareness
  • To be able to actively contribute in technical meetings, internally and externally
  • To be able to actively contribute to client meetings where audit reports are presented, talking confidently about findings and data behind the results
  • Maintain and form client relationships to enable effective delivery of project work
  • Respond to client issues and requirements and escalate to the project manager to ensure these are addressed as required
  • To attend suggested relevant courses and take advantage of other L&D opportunities that arise
  • To be able to provide reasoned estimates of time and resource to aid work planning

 

Approximate time splits

 

  • Client work: 85%
  • New business (sales support): 0%
  • Other (L&D, internal meetings and events etc): 10%
  • Administration: 5%

Person Specification:

 

Essential

  • Competent in your area of specialism
  • Awareness of time and budget constraints when delivering project work
  • Awareness of emerging technologies within your area of expertise
  • Effective communication skills within and across teams
  • Problem solving

 

Desirable

  • Ability to contribute to group discussions and meetings
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good understanding of Gallagher Communications business
  • Ability to develop ideas for product or service delivery innovation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must have the Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
