Qualifications

J.D. Degree with proven academic success. Must be licensed in Illinois.
A minimum of 4 years relevant commercial generalist experience, including hands on experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating and interpreting a variety of agreements. Law firm experience followed by in-house experience is desirable, as is insurance industry experience.
Prior experience heading a contracts function, including the management of other professionals and working with contract management systems. Evaluation and implementation of legal process outsourcing is a plus.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced critical thinking and analytical ability.
Ability to understand and integrate details of the business to ensure new and existing business relationships are workable across functions.
Outstanding client management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and trust with senior management and other professionals at all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the expertise to drive change and to successfully interface with people at all levels, by virtue of professional competence, personal integrity, and personal style.
A dedication and commitment to practicing law in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
