Position Summary

 

The  Compensation Consultant will manage key components of physician compensation projects

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Project Management
    • Lead planning meetings.
    • Manage components of complex projects using company resources effectively to meet expectations of internal and external clients. 
  • Analysis
    • Analyze physician and/or advanced practice provider compensation practices of client organizations to determine their competitiveness, fairness, and effectiveness.
    • Analyze survey data to determine levels of pay that are within fair market value for physicians and or advanced practice providers
  • Writing, Presentation Development and Quality Control
    • Draft fair market value and commercial reasonableness opinion letters.
    • Design new incentive compensation programs.
    • Develop and test Cash Compensation Models.
    • Write reports presenting analyses and recommendations.
    • Develop recommendations for strengthening and/or restructuring clients’ compensation programs 
  • Client Interaction
    • Interview executives and/or physicians to learn their perceptions of current compensation, benefit programs, and to ascertain and assess company strategies, plans, goals, and culture.
    • Present reports to clients via phone, video conference, or in person
       

Additional Considerations:

  • MBA/MHA from a reputable program or strong quantitative background with equivalent experience in health care administration or consulting strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of healthcare experience, as well as substantial prior analytical experience
  • A strong background in finance, health care operations, or consulting in a managed care environment and a broad understanding of health care organizations and health care economics, including competitive issues, reimbursement patterns and health insurance
  • Clear, concise, professional written and oral communication skills, including strong persuasion skills and excellent platform presentation skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong PC skills.

 

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 or more years related experience
U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure
