About the role

We have an outstanding full time permanent opportunity for a highly organised and motivated individual to join our financial planning team as a Client Service Officer – Personal Insurance (CSO). Working closely with our specialist Personal Insurance Advisers, you will liaise with insurance companies and clients to manage personal insurance applications, ongoing client service and all day-to-day administration.

You will work in a supportive and collaborative small team environment.  Whilst experience in the financial planning industry is favourable, our focus is on a candidate who can display a proven ‘can do’ attitude with outstanding attention to detail and communication skills.

The role will be varied and will consists of the following:  

  •  Manage client service enquiries relating to personal insurance policies
  • Investigate premium arrears and policy lapses
  • Manage policy alterations such as reductions and cancellations as well as changes to client details such as change of address, bank details etc 
  • Co-ordinate client’s medical requirements for new applications
  • Submit insurance applications and track their progress 
  • Input and maintain client data in the CRM system (Xplan) 
  • Prepare written e-mail communications to clients 
  • Track the progress of claims and communicate with clients as required
  • Diary management

 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: 

  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong client service and administrative focus 
  • Outstanding attention to detail and process driven
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work autonomously 
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel).
  • Experience with Xplan is highly favourable
  • Exposure to personal insurance  (either working for an insurer or in a financial planning business) is highly regarded but not essential
