Claims Technician - Part Time

We are looking for a Claims Technician to join our task-focused team in a fast paced environment. It's a varied and busy role delivering a high quality, efficient claims service to valued customers whilst helping to deliver our business goals.

We are required to handle all allocated claims promptly, take care of all enquiries and ensure delivery of a dedicated and focused claims service CII/Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualification is desirable but not essential.


Key Accountabilities

  • Administer, process, submit and chase claims
  • Maintain an effective diary and follow-up system in line with SLA’s
  • Contact with external suppliers by phone, e-mail and post
  • Delivery of relevant and accurate information and documentation within agreed timescales

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong social skills and able to operate with diplomacy
  • Confident in managing complex and highly confidential information whilst working autonomously
  • Organised, thorough and accurate to provide effective administration within timescales
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • I.T. Literate Maintain agreed service levels
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other members of the Team
  • Working in a team in an office environment, contribute to team ethos and participate effectively as a team member
  • Able to understand customer requirements
  • Inquisitive mind, probes and checks research to obtain a thorough grasp of relevant facts
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ready to provide support and assistance
  • Able to present views with clarity and confidence
