JOB DESCRIPTION: PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION CLAIMS SPECIALIST (CA)

LOCATION:  La Crescenta, CA


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and deliver Reservation of Rights (ROR), disclosure and Explanation of Benefits (EOB)

  • letters and other correspondence

  • Calculate medical bills for the submission of EOBs

  • Create and submit PIP logs

  • Print and mail letters for Adjusters and Processors

  • Ensure service levels within the team and department are met or exceeded on a daily basis

  • Perform other office management and administrative tasks as needed


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT

  • Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Keen attention to detail and follow through

  • Excellent work ethic, attendance and timeliness

  • Basic computer skills (data entry, word processing) required

  • Desired to learn more about the insurance industry

  • Spanish speaking preferred


U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.  For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization
  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher’s Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement which requires, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
