The position
 
Located in Brisbane, and working as part of the Performance and Analytics team, you will be responsible for providing statistical and analytical information to assist the business meet performance targets.  You will also evaluate business unit performance and outcomes relating to core contracts and will contribute to efficiency discussions though the provision of appropriate analysis.    
  
Reporting directly to the Manager – Performance Analytics (based in Victoria) responsibilities will include:
 
  • Define, design and develop analytical solutions to improve optimisation and mitigate risks;
  • Analyse financial and other data, including revenue, expenditure and employment reports;
  • Make recommendations to management through presentations and written reports;
  • Provide insight and advice to the Operations in regards to improving Business Unit performance;
  • Develop dash board and lead indicator reporting, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to support claims management and revenue metrics;
  • Identify emerging trends and make recommendations to management
  • Partner with other teams to manage and implement business process changes that streamline processes, improve productivity and optimise operational efficiency.
 
The person
 
To be successful in this role you will have experience in analysing data to draw business relevant conclusions.  You will also have an understanding of the purpose of Information systems, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing.  Advanced Excel skills are paramount as is the ability to work under pressure and within agreed timeframes.  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business analysis or related role is essential.  Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in business or related field will be highly regarded.
