Position Summary:

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Incumbent has overall responsibility for clients accounts related to service fees and/or loss funds including calculation of amounts due in accordance with final contract terms.
  • Analyst will work closely with Account Management and Sales departments.
  • Will also provide review of invoices produced by the Billing Specialists.
  • Develops effective working relationships with Pricing, Sales, Account Management, Collections, Claims areas and banking partners, as necessary.
  • Primary responsibilities will include calculation of amounts due from clients using data from multiple systems based on contract terms and product/services client has purchased.
  • Research complex billing questions from Account Management, Client and/or Senior Management.
  • Tracks financial status by monitoring variances from projected or prior revenues of client.
  • Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data. Increases productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements.
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve and implement efficiencies in overall process.
  • Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
  • Collaborate with business partners to deliver accurate and timely results.
  • Assume other responsibilities and project activity as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Strong PC and Microsoft application skills. Excel expertise required (pivots, V-lookups, macros).

Desired:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • CPA, CMA or CFA designation also preferred. Access and Sequel experience preferred.
  • Experience working in insurance, particularly in a claims organization a plus.
  • Cognos and JD Edwards GL knowledge preferred.
