The HRCC team is looking for an Associate Compensation Consultant to join their growing practice. This position is responsible for working on and leading physician compensation consulting projects.

How will I impact the business?

Project Management

  • You will participate in project planning meetings.
  • You will lead components of complex projects using company resources effectively to meet expectations of internal and external clients.

Practice Analysis

  • You will analyze compensation practices of client organizations to determine their competitiveness, fairness, and effectiveness.
  • You will analyze survey data to determine competitive levels of pay for health care executives and/or physicians.

Writing, Presentation Development and Quality Control

  • You will design new incentive compensation programs.
  • You will develop and test Cash Compensation Models.
  • You will write reports presenting analyses and recommendations.
  • You will develop recommendations for strengthening and/or restructuring clients’ compensation programs.

Client Interaction

  • You will interview executives and/or physicians to collect data and learn their perceptions of current and proposed compensation and benefit programs.
  • You will present reports to clients.


Do I have what it takes to be considered?

  • MBA/MHA or college degree with a strong quantitative background with equivalent experience in health care administration or consulting.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience.
  • Prior analytical experience.
  • Strong analysis of executive and/or physician compensation desirable, but not necessary.
  • A strong background in finance, health care operations, or consulting and a broad understanding of health care organizations and health care economics, including competitive issues, reimbursement patterns and health insurance.
  • Clear, concise, professional written and oral communication skills, including strong persuasion and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attentive to details
  • Strong project and client management skills and ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient and advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization.
