Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Applicable Asbestos Air Sampling Technician and Project Monitor Certifications.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Desired:
  • Previous experience with analytical microscopy techniques and analysis of asbestos and/or airborne fungal spores.
  • 1-2 years of environmental experience and knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations.

Work Traits:

  • Able to perform analyses by PCM, PLM, TEM and direct microscopic examination. 
  • Able to effectively prioritize assignments.  
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Competent in college level mathematics. 
  • Possesses basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Possesses good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Requires strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interface and manage contractors, and in regards to completion of requisite paperwork and documentation (e.g., daily logs, chain of custody forms, site plans, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, have a positive work ethic, punctual, and available to work at construction sites, asbestos/lead abatement projects, and remediation sites. 
U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.  For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. Gallagher will require proof of work authorization.
  • Must be willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality and non-disclosure.
